hey, so sorry for the late answer. I did a little research among my fellow midwifes. We don't have a standard recommendation, when it comes to the product. But we agree to advice against the homemade, just to be sure ( because of bacteria and alcohol). So to answer your question, I would look for the alcohol level ( 0%) and if the product is pasteurized. But of course it is to be 100% safe ;)
